Lough Cutra Castle Multisport event is the backdrop to this festival of triathlon and multisport event in County Galway.
The Castle, built during the Gothic revival period and once home to now King Charles during a 3-day visit to Ireland, is idyllically situated overlooking the Estate’s 1,000 acre lake; the largest privately owned lake in Europe and home to this event’s open-water swims.
Throughout the weekend, athletes and spectators will be able to enjoy the grounds and a fun-packed festival village featuring live music, shopping, food and drink, children’s entertainment, yoga and more.
This family friendly event features some truly iconic courses in the west of Ireland. The weekend will host a huge range of races for all ages and abilities.

Lough Cutra Castle event is sanctioned by Triathlon Ireland (TI). Competitors in triathlon / multisport races are required to produce either a valid membership licence or purchase a TI One Day Membership (ODM).
We’re hosting an exciting Mixed Team Relay event at 2.30pm on the Saturday 23rd of May at Lough Cutra, where teams will go head-to-head in a fast-paced, action-packed race — all for the chance to win a fantastic prize for the winning team!

The Sprint race starting at 09:30am will comprise of 1 mixed waves, including the 16-17 years old TI Youth series, and 1 female only wave.
12-13 years triathlon and 14-15 years triathlon is a tarmac bike course on closed roads
9-10 years triathlon and 11-12 years triathlon is off-road, mountain bike advisable
