For Mum and Dad: Why Tess Took on a Triathlon for Alzheimer's Research UK

Just weeks after losing her dad to dementia, Tess laced up and took on the Olympic triathlon at Belvoir Castle in his memory — swimming, cycling and walking every step for him. Fuelled by grief, love and the generosity of everyone who sponsored her, she crossed the finish line having raised over £2,800 for Alzheimer’s Research UK. This is her story.

This course doesn’t go easy on anyone, and it didn’t need to. We watched our biggest-ever wave of young competitors take on the challenge alongside first-timers finding their feet and seasoned racers back for more. Different starting points, same fierce determination.

Cholmondeley Castle — what a venue. The perfect setting and an unforgettable backdrop for every finisher’s run to the line.
It was a hot weekend, but our athletes took it all in their stride. From our youngest competitors and first-time racers to returning athletes taking on the course once again, every single participant brought incredible determination and spirit.
It was fantastic to see so many of you out on course, and we can’t wait to welcome you back to Cholmondeley Castle next year!

Le Château de Chantilly 2027, c’est terminé — et quel week-end ce fut.
Le samedi nous a mis à l’épreuve, chacun d’entre nous. Trois saisons en une seule journée, mais la course ne s’est jamais arrêtée, et vous non plus. Le dimanche a tout renversé — soleil éclatant de bout en bout, températures grimpantes, et une atmosphère qui valait chaque effort.

Château de Chantilly 2027 is done — and what a weekend it was.
Saturday tested every one of us. Three seasons in a single day, but the racing never stopped and neither did you. Sunday flipped the script completely — wall-to-wall sunshine, soaring temperatures, and an atmosphere that made it all worthwhile.
Two days. Every condition imaginable. Hundreds of incredible performances.
