Lough Cutra Castle is located in County Galway, in the west of Ireland, about 3 kilometers (2 miles) south of the town of Gort. It’s nestled beside Lough Cutra, a large private lake, and surrounded by woodlands and parkland.
Lough Cutra Castle is only 40 minutes’ drive by motorway from Shannon Airport.
The closest train station to the Castle is Gort, only 10 minutes away. From here you can connect to Galway and on to the rest of Ireland.
If you’re driving, ferry routes from Holyhead to Dublin or Fishguard (Pembrokeshire to Rosslare offer convenient access to Ireland. From there, it’s approximately 2.5 hours from Dublin and 3.5 hours from Rosslare to Lough Cutra Castle.
Lough Cutra is easily reachable by road from anywhere in Ireland or Northern Ireland, with drive times varying by location.
