Our Run Series at Chantilly is one of the most popular across the Multisport Festival. At Chantilly we offer the Marathon, Half Marathon and 10k. Runners will start in the heart of the Chateau, through estate woodland trails, followed by the famous Chantilly racecourse, a real highlight for racers and us alike! All runners will then head back to the picturesque estate grounds. The course is fairly flat, so this would suit many runners looking to get a fast time!
At Lough Cutra, we host the Marathon, Half Marathon and 10k distances. The Marathon and Half Marathon will tackle 6 or 3 laps of our 7k route, while the 10kers have 2 laps of a 5k route. The terrain will test runners, as it is a mixture of fields, muddy forest paths and road. A CRS highlight is that all runner will have have the opportunity to run alongside Europe’s largest private owned Lake! So if you’re after a cross country race, Lough Cutra may be the option for you. All runners have a unique finish, literally cross the line in front of the Castle.
At Cholmondeley, runners can choose between a Marathon, Half Marathon or 10k. The Marathon and Half Marathon will tackle 6 or 3 laps of our 7k route, while the 10kers have 2 laps of a 5k route. The routes consists of woodland trails and testing hills. The final stretch is a downhill, with the finish line in sight, as you pass the Castle on your descent. The finish at Cholmondeley is certainly a highlight for us as we love cheering athletes to the finish! Lots of good photo opportunities here!
For those who like to run long! Hever FOE hosts our two ultras, The 50 and 34 Miler, Marathon and Half Marathon. Both ultra runs are linear and are a combination of some of the best routes in the South East. The athletes will start at Eastbourne Pier (50 Miler) and Firle (34 Miler) and make their way North to Hever. The ultras are a real highlight for us as they were designed and completed by our Race Director Brian on his 50th birthday!
The Castle Howard Run Series is a series of woodland trails, undulating hills and the ultimate finish line photo. Marathon runners will complete four laps of our 10.5km route, half marathon two laps and 10k one! As you make your way to the finish, you can hear the cheers of spectators and the finish line shute is the perfect setting straight in front of the Castle!
Our final run event of the year! Hever Castle September will hosts several thousand athletes. Like our event in July, we also welcome runners for the Marathon, Half Marathon but bring the 10k into the mix. The course is fairly flat, however do expect one or two hills! A castle highlight has to be the fact that not only you run past one castle but two! Runners will also pass Chiddingstone Castle, a few miles down the road from Hever Castle!
