At our weekend festival of sport, you can swim through historical Castle Howard’s Great Lake, cycle through the picturesque Howardian Hills and run through the undulating countryside of this stunning estate before a sprint finish tops everything off in style right in front of the Castle main doors!
Throughout the weekend, athletes and spectators will be able to enjoy a fun-packed festival village right in the heart of the Castle Howard estate featuring live music, shopping, food and drink, children’s entertainment, yoga and more.
This multisport weekend event at Castle Howard will host a huge range of races for all ages and abilities. Recommended for both beginners by Tri 247 and seasoned athletes by 220Triathlon!
Whether you’re 9 or 90 years old, a first-timer or an elite, you can pick from our triathlon, duathlon, aquabike, aquathlon, run and swim races. You can also race with a team of friends in one of our relays options!

Castle Howard Triathlon and Multisport Festival is a British Triathlon permitted event. If you are taking part in a multisport event you are required to become a member of the sport and obtain a race licence in order to race. We will share the link here when it becomes available.
We were delighted that this event was awarded the 2024 Standard Distance Triathlon European Qualifier, as well as the qualifier for the 2023 Triathlon England Yorkshire Junior Series.
We are delighted to have partnered with Macmillan Cancer Support for another year. They do whatever it takes to give people affected by cancer the support they need. Macmillan are going all out to support people with cancer. But they can’t do it without you.

All entrants will be notified of their wave time via email approximately 2 weeks prior to the event. We ask that triathlon and multisport participants arrive 1hour 15 minutes before their given start time. Swim and Run Series participants need to arrive no later than 30 minutes before the start of their race.
