She tells us ’Being in the spotlight, challenging myself and the rush of performing under pressure is what I love and what motivated me to pursue triathlon. This International Women’s day I hope can inspire everyone to take up triathlon and know there is a community out there for all, no matter your age, gender, ethnicity, background or neurodiversity.’
We know that competing in a mixed field can sometimes seem overwhelming. In partnership with Triathlon Irelend, we are excited to announce our new event at Lough Cutra Castle on 26th May 2024. We will host our first non-competitive sprint distance triathlon (750m swim, 20km bike and 5km run) exclusively for women aged 16+. The aim is to encourage women from all over Ireland who are brand new to the sport, or previously completed New2Tri and Try-a-Tri events and for women who haven’t participated in a triathlon for several years and would like to re-engage with the sport. The objective of this event is to ensure that every woman experiences a profound sense of achievement and accomplishment, free from competitive racing.
