Although outdoor running is a preferred training option for some marathon runners, this is not always a practical option, especially if you are training during winter months. Likewise, if you are more injury prone, then treadmill training can be a safer training method, as it provides an impact-absorbing running surface, which reduces joint pain and stress injuries.
