We saw a record-breaking number of athletes take to the courses over the weekend — it was amazing to witness so many of you out there giving it your all! And what a weekend of racing it was! The debut of the full iron-distance “Bastion” was a huge success, and it was a real pleasure to watch each of you Race Your Way. With sunshine throughout and an electric atmosphere, the energy was unforgettable.
Athletes travelled from across the globe to take part in one of the summer’s premier triathlon and multisport openers!
From the first to the final finisher, every athlete gave it their all — and we loved watching each of you take on your race with determination and heart!
The weekend kicked off on Saturday with Le Condé, where Paul Bourlet claimed victory in the men’s category with an impressive time of 1:50:03. In the women’s race, Debbie Ammerlaan took the top spot. In the Sprint event, Adrien Gouilloud and Lucile Merrien delivered standout performances, both finishing in under 1 hour 15.
The junior races were just as exciting — a joy to watch and a glimpse into the bright future of triathlon. We can’t wait to see these young talents grow into the next generation of elite athletes and sport ambassadors.
Congratulations to all our podium finishers, and a huge well done to everyone who raced — it was a pleasure to see you out there!
In the afternoon, we welcomed the 5K walk/runners onto the course. It was heartwarming to see families of all ages taking part together, sharing the experience and supporting one another.
The smiles and cheers at the finish line said it all — a true celebration of effort, togetherness, and achievement.
On Sunday, more than 4,000 competitors arrived at the Château for an action-packed day of racing. Bright and early, our Bastion athletes took to the water to kick off the full iron-distance race — a first for Chantilly! With over 130 participants, this inaugural event was a huge success. A massive congratulations to Simon Bonte and Emmanuelle Maillard Mercier, the very first winners of the Bastion at Chantilly, who earned our prestigious trophies. And hats off to everyone who completed this epic challenge!
In our half iron-distance event, The Gauntlet, Yannick Matejicek claimed the open category win, while Zoe Brunton took the top spot for the women.
The next part of the program was dedicated to the Run Series, which began in the late morning.
Felix McGeever and Maria Xavier led the race during the marathon, earning well-deserved victories — congratulations to both of them!
As the morning progressed, it was time for the Swim Series, with swimmers diving into the water before the duathletes took to the course.
We saw a record number of participants take on the Standard distance Olympic triathlon, spread across five waves. Athletes swam 1,500m, cycled 40km, and finished strong with a 10K run. The overall champions were Paul Bourlet and Agnès Lefranc — an outstanding effort!
A huge well done to all podium finishers, and congratulations to every athlete who took part. It was a joy to watch you race!
