Château de Chantilly 2022 Race Report
31.08.22

Another great edition of the Château de Chantilly multisport festival this weekend in this fabulous setting! We were overjoyed to see so many athletes attending the event, along with their enthusiastic supporters!

A sporting weekend at Château de Chantilly

Like every year, we loved watching all athletes give their all this last weekend and we are very proud of them all!

Despite the cancellation of swimming events – due to a very shallow lake – the athletes all tested themselves to the limits across running and cycling distances, whilst also have fun during the glorious sunshine!

No swimming on the program

This edition was a bit special, because a few days before the event, we were unfortunately forced to cancel all swimming legs and events.

This is not a decision taken lightly, we tried everything to find a solution, but the recent heat waves meant a very shallow lake, and that the situation was unfortunately out of our control.

The triathlon distances were therefore replaced by equivalent duathlons, as recommended by the FFTri.

Congratulations to our winners

From the first to the last race, all athletes seemed motivated to give their very best. Encouraged by the many volunteers present around the course, the athletes gave us all a brilliant weekend of racing.

Mathieu Bourlet wins again on the Condé in 1h47 and Florian Richard in 2h11 on the Olympique.

The podium was very close on the Marathon, with 3 minutes separating the 3 winners. It was Benoît Lenière who won in 2h59.

On Sunday, our flagship event, the Gantelet, was held. The athletes ran 10.5km, cycled 90km and ran 21km. Manuel Amand won in 4h16, just ahead of Baptiste Carle in 4h33 and Steven Debaere in 4h38.
