Attention! Join us at Hever Castle Commando obstacle course on the 14-15 October and experience and OCR race like no other! Here are five reasons why you should sign up…
Commando is the only event that can recreate the mud, sweat and pain of modern day Royal Marines Commando training. Whether you complete the Mini Commando, 3k, 6k or 12k course, you’ll take on some of the toughest obstacles that recruits go through during training. Each obstacle will be led by a serving or former Marine Commando, so you’ll experience the day like a true recruit. Expect mud, sweat and hopefully a lot of happy tears!
Some of our Commando obstacles were recently used as part of Bear Grylls’ Gone Wild Festival at Powderham Castle, Devon. The obstacle course was a huge hit and the instructors are ready for round two this October at Commando!
Loved by regulars, a huge surprise to those new to Commando! This year, recruits will start at our D-Day landing craft experience. You’ll experience the thrill and terror of the boat craft and be ferried across the lake. During the journey, you will receive a history lesson on the Royal Marines and the obstacles. When you dock, expect a battle simulation before heading to Estuarine Emersion!
This year, we are thrilled to announce that female participation is at the highest it has been at Commando! We are delighted that girls and women from as young as 3 years old and up will be joining us across our different courses on October 14-15 at Hever Castle! Obstacle racing is for all, no matter your shape, size, age or ability!
This event is in partnership with Macmillan Cancer Research, an organisation close to our hearts at Castle Race Series. Athletes will be taking on the course raising funds to help those suffering from Cancer and to help support their families. Keep your eyes out for the people in the bright green Macmillan tops!
