Castle Race Series originally put this race on as part of the 2015 Run or Dye World Tour. Literally in our backyard, the race is still going strong. Run or Dye is still an enduring feature and we look forward to developing the running festival this year into an all weekend celebration of running with a little music thrown in!
One of Castle Race Series’ most important priorities for our participants and their spectators is safety. We have run 15 live events since September 2020 operating under Government guidelines. We will continue to do so for the protection and assurance of our participants and staff.
Up for the most challenging event of the festival? The addition of a 1/2 marathon in our timed, slightly more serious, off-road running section will be a real boost to the event. With three laps, each one looping back through the main events village, this will be an atmospheric, supporter friendly race that will cover every corner of the beautiful estate grounds.
Completed one of our Commando obstacle races before? Well you’re in for a treat at Penshurst. This year we have added two wild runs (3K and 600m courses) catering for all age groups will see participants of all shapes, age and size tackle some of the estates more demanding contours, spinneys and sink holes. Expect muddy but family friendly terrain and some challenging natural obstacles on your way round. Under 8s will also have the opportunity to tackle the 600m course!
Could adding any more disciplines be possible?! You can count on us to do exactly that. This year we are launching with our first ever walking event! This 8k walking course is for those who fancy a gentle scenic walk, followed by a discounted entry to the award winning Penshurst Place Gardens.
With races for children of all ages (colour and obstacle), access to the Penshurst Place adventure playground, a climbing wall, inflatables, ample picnic space and much more, leave those computer games behind and immerse yourself on the great outdoors for the day.
The festival side of our events just gets better and better with a return of our house band, more live music than ever, an improved trade village and delicious food concessions.
With 9 different races going on over the day, a buzzing festival vibe and some of the most stunning scenery at an exclusively private stately home, why not bring a car full of spectators too? Parking is free for this event.
We work closely with Penshurst Place to continue and improve our programme of internal estate tracks and paths upgrading.
With London a 40 minute train journey away, the spa town of Tunbridge Wells on our doorstep and scores of other local attractions to visit, why not make a weekend of it?
Keep up to date with exclusive discounts, launches and news.
