6. The Pyramids

In 1956, The Egyptian Army tried to annex the Suez Canal, one of the most strategically important trade routes in the world. 45 Commando were the point force and made the first ever helicopter assault on the city of Pont Said. This commando obstacles is a memorial to the enduring bravery and spirit.
7. The Wires
40M long wooded glade dissected with metres and metres of elastic cord
The enemy will use a number of devices to hinder your progress and obscure your view. Commandos let nothing faze them. You will need to be agile and able to trust your instincts as you make your way up this tricky glade.
Commandos often have to implement a quick fix and the rope swing is an oft-used operational tool that will quickly put in place so that fast progress towards a target can be made.
15. Walk the Plank
A series of interconnected see-saws
Commando's first role at sea was of "sharpshooter" stationed high up in the rigging. Latterly, Royal Marines detachments formed the boarding parties on a naval ship and would have been utilised to seize many a pirate vessel where the sadistic practice of "walking the plank" was commonplace.
